Rehmaten hain tery aghyar ke kashanon par, bar girti hy to bechary musalmanon par

Rehmaten hain tery aghyar ke kashanon par,
bar girti hy to bechary musalmanon par

English Translation of Verse Forty one of Shikwa by Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

You blessings and favours fall on the non-believers,
And your wrath is reserved for the poor Muslims.

But sanam khanon main kehtay hain musalman gaye, hye khushi un ko ke kabay ke nigehban gaye

But sanam khanon main kehtay hain musalman gaye,
hye khushi un ko ke kabay ke nigehban gaye

English Translation of Verse Forty two of Shikwa by Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

There is joy in the idol houses that the Muslims are sinking,
They are joyous for the guardians of Kaaba are gone.

Manzil e dohr se oonton ke hadi khawan gaye, apni bahlon main dabaye huwy Quran gaye

Manzil e dohr se oonton ke hadi khawan gaye,
apni bahlon main dabaye huwy Quran gaye

English Translation of Verse Forty three of Shikwa by Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

The camel men that used to recite hymns have gone by,,br>
They have disappeared with Quran in their arms.

Khanda zan kufar hy ehsas tuj hy ke nahi, apni tauheed ka kuch pas tuj hy ke nahi

Khanda zan kufar hy ehsas tuj hy ke nahi,
apni tauheed ka kuch pas tuj hy ke nahi

English Translation of Verse Forty four of Shikwa by Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

The non-believers thus rejoice,
O God! Think of the Muslims that believe in your Oneness.

Ye shikayat nahi hain un ke khizany mamoor, nahi mehfil main jinhen bat bhi karnay ka shaoor

Ye shikayat nahi hain un ke khizany mamoor,
nahi mehfil main jinhen bat bhi karnay ka shaoor

English Translation of Verse Forty five of Shikwa by Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

This is not a complaint, but those have treasure reserved,
Those have no sense of how to speak in the gathering.

Qehr to ye hy ke kafir ko milen hoor o qasoor, aur bechary musalman ko faqat wada e hoor

Qehr to ye hy ke kafir ko milen hoor o qasoor,
aur bechary musalman ko faqat wada e hoor

English Translation of Verse forty six of the poem Shikwa by Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

O God! You have blest the non-believers with the worldly pleasures,
And the poor Muslims have mere promise of heavenly beauties.

Ab wo altaf nahi ham pe inayat nahi, bat ye kya hy ke pehli si madarat nahi

Ab wo altaf nahi ham pe inayat nahi,
bat ye kya hy ke pehli si madarat nahi

English Translation of Verse forty seven from the famous Shikwa by Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

Why those blessings have been withdrawn from us?
Why is it that the favours of yore are no more?

Kyun musalmanon main hy dolat e dunya nayab, teri qudrat to hy wo jis ki na had hy na hisab

Kyun musalmanon main hy dolat e dunya nayab,
teri qudrat to hy wo jis ki na had hy na hisab

English Translation of forty eight verse from the famous Shikwa of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal:

Why Muslims are devoid of this worldly wealth?
O Lord! The power ye hold has neither limits and nor count.
